Oct. 31,2009. We pulled out of Alligator River Marina approx 7am. The mosquitoes grow big here. Couldn't get rid of them till we went throw the Alligator bridge. Then a breeze kicked up. Since it was a calm ride, I decided to cook eggs. Arrived at Dowry Creek Marina at 3pm. Fueled up, pumped out, and found are slip. Marina had a boaters cocktail hour at the club house, we all took munches. Met some of the boaters that past us by during the day on the waterway. Happy Halloween!!
11-1-2009. Stayed another night at Dowry Creek. Happy Birthday Wayne"O". Our son is 30.
Winds are high and showers, plus we can't go past a certain point for insurance reasons. Kathy and I took the courtesy car to the Food Lion. Marina is having a pot luck for the boaters at the club house. We made a pot of meatballs and sauce with rolls. (I get out of cooking tonight.) We really had a nice time talking the everyone and exchange boat cards. Plus, all the meatballs were gone.
