3-14-2010 HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY CHRISTOPHER MENDEZ. We left Compass Cay Marina approx 9:30am to Fowl Cay, a.k.a. Chicken Cay. If you check the charts out it looks like a rubber chicken. We had met Norm Willaims on the first day in the marina. Norm invited us to his Island to anchor and have dinner with him. Wayne took him up on the offer. After we had the boat anchored and the dinghy in we went to shore about 2pm. What a fabulous Island he has. He let us ride his Honda 4 wheeler on the trails, beaches. Oh, and he has a airstrip which his brother flies a plane over from Florida. The airstrip is 800ft long. Holy Cow!!!! Two airplanes were suppose to fly in today, but, not shows. His house sits on top of the hill and you have a view of the whole island. Norm walked us around showing us all the different kinds of palm trees and all kinds of tropical trees and flowers. Sailor had fun running without a leash and playing with his lab mix dog named Chemo.
Norm ask me to cook. I battered chicken legs and bake them in the oven, green beans and my homemade potato salad I had made this morning. What a gracious host we had and welcomed us back anytime.
