When we went thru the next bridge, Chuck and Kathy pulled anchor and they caught up with us on the ICW.
9am opening, Churk and Kathy on the other side of bridge.
The ICW is pretty boring for miles and miles you follow a stright line. Mostly you see just shore line trees and a few houses in the distance. At one point, Wayne dumped 5 gallons of diesel fuel in the tank as I was driving the boat, in almost 20 knots of wind. FuN!
Here we are in the Haulover Canal, coming up to the bridge. The bridge tender is waiting for us and 3 boats behind us to catch up to open the Haulover Canal Bridge. It is a very pretty area people come to fish.
We saw in a cove on one side of the canal, manatee's rolling and playing in the water. Wish we could of stopped and got some pictures. Just to watch them for awhile would of been fun.
Here we saw Builder Bob at work
.
I think it was around 4pm when we arrived at Seven Seas Marina near Daytona Beach. It's the 85cents a foot marina. Chuck and Kathy went up a ways to get a pump out at another marina. Then they came back and docked next to us. As they were doing that, I started a pot of Bum's Fish Chowder. I didn't have enough Mahi Mahi for the four of us, so I thought I make chowder. Smells good.
So, as you read, I cooked tonight. It was a hit.
