BACK IN THE U.S.A.

4-7-2010 We were up at 3:45am to walk the dog and get ready to leave for the USA. It was approx 4:45am when we left the dock. It was pitch black with a slice of moon and stars. Had to use the high beam light to see getting through the canal in the marina. Sheet Music was right behind us. Winds were 18 knots and seas where 5-6 foot waves. So the first 2 hrs for me were kind of hard. I sat back where Wayne sits and that was better, but I still took a pill and then I was OK for the rest of the trip. After 2 hrs it calmed down to 2 foot seas and 12 knots of wind. There were lots of cruise ships lit up like Christmas trees. They were sitting and waiting there turn in go in the harbor, I would say Freeport. We past a few freighters also.

Sunrise

The sun came up and then you could see the color of the water, looks like royal blue. The little flying fish were jumping everywhere. We also saw lots of man o wars floating. Look like a lot a baby ones and once in a while you see a big one, millions of them.

Sheet Music crossing over to the U..S. A.

Coming up to Lake Worth Inlet U.S.A.

Coming into Lake Worth Inlet wasn’t to bad this time. Three years also it was so ruff and busy. We went straight to Peanut Island on a mooring ball. Great place to take Sailor for his walkie. Wayne had to call Homeland Security and we have to clear in tomorrow. He had taken the Bahamian flag down while we crossed. Now we have a yellow flag up, shows we haven’t cleared in yet.

We charged up our cell phones on our way over. So, we got to talk to all the kids, my parents and Wayne’s mom. So nice to be able to turn the computer on and exactly get on line. YaHoo!!

Can’t believe we were in the Bahamas for 2 months, how the time just flies by……….

I cooked to night, Cheeseburgers and potatoe salad,

  1. Welcome back to the States. I enjoyed the Bahamas through your blog and fantastic photos. MicMac's in Melbourne Harbor Marina tonight (so we could watch the Masters), and we plan to move slowly north tomorrow. Maybe we'll meet along the way.
