Leaving Key West

Wayne said we had a visitor this morning. Glen Winter's came walking down the dock to say hello to us. Both boats were bought from Winter Sailing Center, in NJ.  That was very nice of you to stop by and glad your following our blog.

As you can see no finger piers. Had to climb over the bow. Marina office right behind us. Approx 10:30am we backed out of the slip with me holding a bow line over a cheater line that was already hooked to the back pole. I kept the boat straight while Wayne backed out slowly. It worked, no banging anything with the wind blowing 20 knots.

Here's Sheet Music docked  about 4 boats down. They backed out just before us with no problem.

We are motoring sailing on our way back to Bahia Honda and staying in the little harbor. Winds are blowing from the north. Look, Wayne has a Carhart coat on. It was cold and windy.

I think Sailor wanted to be down below with his daddy. Wayne was looking for the ginger gum for me. He decided to make coffee, so I had to take over the wheel.
Sailor went back under his blanket when his daddy came back up with the coffee.

This is Sheet Music. This is zoomed in quite a bit. We motored into Bahia Honda approx 4:30pm. Kathy's turn to cook tonight. BBQ steak, salad, potatoes and jello with cream. It was so good.
