Compass Cay

3-12-2010 The winds have picked up last night. I was up around 3am and tried to sleep in the salon. There is another front coming through till Saturday. As the morning was going bye, more people were looking for secured spots and listening to different weather reports. Wayne decided to call Compass Cay Marine to see by chance if they had 2 slips available for us. Thy did. At 9:30am we pulled anchor and motored sailed 8 miles to Compass Cay. It is known as a good hurricane hole.

We had a time getting into the slip, with mega yachts all around us. We had the keel down 15 cranks, stuck, the wind turned us around. Well I cranked the keel up, throw ropes to the guys and they pulled us in. CLOSE!!!!!!!!!! No problem Mon, every thing is OK.

Wayne and I took Sailor down to the beach. Oh, how beautiful it is here. One of the prettiest beaches we have seen.

Kathy is cooking tonight. Pan cooked chicken, rice, salad and peas. Potato bread and raison bread.
