Feb 26, 2010 to March 1,2010

Feb 27, 2010. Exuma Cays, Sea and Land Park. Its 176square miles of at least 20 Cays. Some of them are privately owned and permitted only by invitation only. It’s like a National Park in the USA.We dinghied over to a beach here close to our boat (Beryl’s Beach). Anchored the dinghy and hiked up the rocks and followed The Wall to the other side of the Island. Wayne took pictures of Hogs Cay that has approx
6 mooring balls. The other way is breath taking. The water is a rainbow blues.

After lunch, we took Sailor over to the North anchorage,(near the office). The tide was down and the dogs are allowed to run without leaches. The sand was so soft when you walked, it was like quick sand. Tired you out quick.

This is the anchorage we are on a waiting list to get into. But, nobody is leaving, because of the cold front coming. It’s beautiful in here. Met up with Chuck Kathy and Jazzy on Powerful Beach. We stayed with the dogs, so Chuck and Wayne could walk on the trails. No pets allowed on trails. They were gone for over a hour. Here are some pictures…

Every Saturday night the have a met and greet on the Powerful Beach. Usually they have a bonfire, but it’s to dry this week. We all brought goodies up and we stayed till 8pm. Had to wear rain gear on the ride back. Wind is picking up and the waves were slashing in are little dinghies. Five attempts to catch the back of our boat to get out into the sailboat. What a night. Everything that could move did, I tried to do computer work, but started to feel sick. Had to take a pill and lay down. I couldn’t even sleep in our bed. The front is here, just blowing winds 25 to 30knots. No rain at all.

Feb 28.2010.   Don’t think I slept 1 hour. Rock and Roll, and still is. You should of seen Wayne making coffee for me and holding onto his cup, I bumped into him and coffee flew everywhere. Poor Sailor was eating his breakfast, got it, and me, had it in my hair, All down my shirt, cabinets and floor. What a way to start the morning.

While Wayne was changing the oil and filters this afternoon, I was trying to catch a few ZZZZZZZ. It finally calmed down to 10 to 15knot winds. Sailor found a comfy spot to nap.

Kathy cooked tonight. Broiled a pork loin, mashed potatoes, peas, applesauce and chocolate cake. It was good, Yummy.

Sunset pictures tonight.

Mar 1,2010.   Today is like the calm before the cold front blows through. Wayne went in to volunteer in the park. He is working on one of their boat engines and stuff on the boat. I’m out here with Sailor and everyone is leaving. Even, Chuck and Kathy let go of the mooring. Evidently, Chuck talked to Wayne on shore and we are moving into the North anchorage today. Thank goodness, it’s not fun getting sea sick on a mooring ball. Wayne came back to move our boat, because, they had assigned another boat on this one out here. It took about 45 minutes to go around the Island to this anchorage. It is so beautiful in here. It was low tide and all the sand bars were exposed. So much nicer here.

As you can see I took a lot a pictures.

I cooked tonight, canned Chinese food with rice, and a big salad.
